Keep in mind this is only version 1.0 of Lulu Poetry. We will be adding great new features and improvements weekly to better serve Poets and lovers of Poetry everywhere, so bookmark www.poetry.com* and visit often!

The amount of misery, anger, shattered hopes and embarrassment Poetry.com has caused to aspiring poets is beyond belief.

There were 5 million poems on that site and every poet received a letter, email, and convention invitation flattering them for their tremendous talent without anyone even reading their poem!

It is my opinion that no reputable company would even consider associating themselves with Poetry.com.

I HAVE MANY PIECES PUBLISHED ON POETRY.COM UNTIL I FOUND OUT THAT THEY ARE SCAMMING AND I WAS VERY UPSET TO SAY THE LEAST. THERE WAS NO WAY OF CONTACTING POETRY.COM TO ASK THAT MY POETRY BE REMOVED FROM THEIR SITE. I THEN SUBMITTED A POEM TO HAVE OT REMOVED. IT’S BEEN AWHILE SINCE I HAVE VISITED THAT WEBSITE UNTIL TODAY ONLY TO FIND OUT IT HAS BEEN PURCHASED BY LULU POETRY. EXPLAIN PLEASE HOW MY MATERIAL IS NOW IN YOUR COMPANIES OWNERSHIP AND DO I HOLD ANY LEGITIMATE COPYWRITE TO WHAT IS MINE. I REALIZE WITH POETRY.COM THAT EVEN THE ISBN # IS PHONY AND THAT THERE IS NO SUCH # IN THE LIBRARY OF CONGRESS. PLEASE EXPLAIN WHAT DIFFERENTITES YOUR COMPANY FROM POETRY.COM WITH THERE SMALL STAFF OF FAKE NAMES.
WHEN WAS THE FAILED BUSINESS PURCHASED AND HOW CAN I BE CERTAIN IT’S NOT POETRY.COM UNDER A NEW NAME?

LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU

I paid the previous company for a book to be published, they have my money and I have not received the poem published, now you have the name http://www.poetry.com

Posted by Cathy Turpin on 20 April 2009 @ 8pm

Cathy,
Lulu did purchase the domain poetry.com but not the business behind it. Lulu.com and Lulu-Poetry are not affiliated in any way with the former owners of http://www.poetry.com, Watermark Media, who have gone out of business, or their publishing endeavors. We recommend you contact them about any outstanding orders.

Thank you,
Annie

Posted by Annie on 24 April 2009 @ 9am

Anne,
Lulu bought the website domain and was able to keep some of the content posted, like poems and reference materials, in an effort to create a positive experience for poetry.com users. However, we understand that the site has changed now and we are happy to remove your poems if you no longer want them posted on Lulu Poetry.

Please send us an email to removal-request@poetry.com and we will take down your poems as soon as possible. Unfortunately, poem removal is a manual process that can take up to 5-10 business days, but we are working on improving this as we continue to develop the site.

You absolutely still have the copyright to your poetry.

Lulu is a completely different company from the former owners of the site. Lulu.com has been in business since 2002, providing a digital marketplace and the tools for authors to self-publish and sell their work. With Lulu Poetry, we are hoping to bring that same empowerment of authors to the poetry community. I hope you will see, and enjoy, a real difference in the site as we continue to develop it.

Thank you,
Annie

Donald,
We know the site has had a sordid reputation in the past, but Lulu has the opportunity to change that and to build a community with real value for poets. What you see now is just the first version of Lulu Poetry, and we will continue to add features and improve the site. We hope to build a real community for poets, with the resources they need to become successful and have a great time doing it.

Thank you,
Annie

I posted a poem several years ago on poetry.com and it just disappeared haven’t seen it so don’t post anymore and really enjoyed writing poetry

Posted by brenda on 27 April 2009 @ 1am

I thought the Poetry.com website was fun but there were some people that abused the opportunity to write whatever they wanted. That made it harder for people that are more focused on writing positive thoughts. Some times people don’t understand the concept of poetry and in that case there were alot of derogatory comments on the website instead of nice poems. I purchased some books with my poems in it and reacted positively.

Hi [removed by poet's request],
I’m sorry to hear that you no longer would like your poem to be part of Lulu Poetry, but of course we are happy to remove it for you. Please send an email to removal-request@poetry.com and our support team will help you.

Unfortunately, Lulu cannot control Google search results. Google creates an index of web pages and stores them for searches. Your name will show up in Google search results until they update that index, but we have no way of knowing when that will be. It will take some time, but eventually your name and poem title will not show up in Google searches.

Thank you,
Annie

Well I think most people knew this was a scam — the submit your photo sites are the same — it IS upsetting to think no ones work was protected —
Does anyone anything about Winning Writers ? I recieve a newsletter from these folks but have never tried any of the contests there -
Does LULU intend to become a “sharing” site for open contests ?

Posted by Connie Hahn on 29 April 2009 @ 8am

Hi, I’d like to know why the two poems I submitted several years ago, when the name was still poetry.com, are no longer on the site. I’ve also tried searching by name and there’s no record of my name or poems. Is this because I submitted them in 2000, or has lulupoetry deleted all poems submitted prior to the date of acquisition ?

Posted by Lisa on 30 April 2009 @ 4pm

I have been putting my poetry online thru poetry.com for a long time. I have in fact purchased books with my poetry in it. I have never gone to any of the places I have been invited to, and always knew that it was a money making endeavor for the company and not the poet. Otherwise…. how would they stay in business. I know what my abilities are and recognize that sometimes my efforts are better than others. I would be interested in finding how to find the names of poets so that I could read their work. As it is, myself and my sister are the only ones I get to read. Take it for what it is…. a place to go to get it off your chest or your heart. And be thankful that it is there.

Posted by Kathy on 30 April 2009 @ 9pm

I want to remove both of my poems: ‘Just a streak of hope’ and ‘The Teacher’ removed from your site.

Posted by Chirag on 1 May 2009 @ 4am

You do not have my permission to have my poems on your web site. Please remove them. I have tried to email you from several sites and all I get is I can’t send as they are considered “SPAM”. I think you are just continuing the previous scams. I ordered books in Dec 2008. Have not received them nor was my money refunded. Will you refund it? I doubt it.

I need to know how to contact someone about purchases made before you took over. Thanks in advance.

howcome there is no India is your countries drop down while submitting poems

Why is India Ignored by LULU poetry
– 1 out of every 7 people on this planet is Indian
– The worlds oldest and longest poems come from India
(Mahabharat) (Ramayana) which are said to be roughly ten times the length of the Iliad and Odyssey combined,[5] roughly five times longer than Dante’s Divine Comedy, and about four times the length of the Ramayana.
– Apart from Mythology Great many spiritual and , romantic style & classic poetry has originated from India
Sant Tukaram,Rabindranath Tagore, Sarojini Naidu
– Ghazals, Couplets (doha), Bhajans and Folk poetry and many heavy lyrical songs have been the core of Indian Poetry.

So include INDIA in your drop down if you are a site that really harbors Poetry in all its splendor
Need I Say More

Hi Welbourne,
I’m sorry that you are having so much trouble contacting us to remove your poems. Did you try emailing removal-request@poetry.com as that email is working on our end?

Lulu is not continuing the operations of the previous owners. We have the opportunity to build a wonderful home for poets on the web, and I hope that your opinion of the site will improve as we continue to make changes.

I’m sorry that you did not get your book order from last December. Lulu is not associated with Watermark Media, the previous owners. Please contact them about your desire for a refund.

Thank you,
Annie

Hi Mary Lynn,
The company that owned the domain previously is Watermark Media. Unfortunately, Lulu does not have a relationship with them. You might try reaching them through the BBB.

Thanks!
Annie

Hi Hans,
We certainly mean no slight against India or the great poets who come from there. There are currently a number of countries not included on that drop down for a variety of reasons, most of them technical.

However, we plan on expanding the list of countries, as we develop the site, to include poets from all over the world. I’ve made a note of your request to add India, and will see what we can do. Please check back with us later this summer.

Thank you,
Annie

I trusted them for my talent and efforts in all the contests. I felt great about myself and now belittled as well as others I’m sure.
I have over 250 poems on site and loved playing the hauki and actually won many of them with mousepads with the poem on them. I guess the books I am in were a scam also and I paid for them. So damaging to my character.
People were telling me from the beginning it was a scam, but poetry.com had me convinced they were not and not knowing of all the other business opportunites they had as a cover-up. What rotten people playing with peoples talent and artistry. The embarassment telling everyone is not going to happen from me.
Are you going to be having the contests of hauki, dailey word contest or anything of that nature soon, other than the poem contest?
Thanks and looking forward to your response,

I too agree with those who say that poetry.com was a bit sleazy! The only reason I stuck with them is that I could get an immediate copyright and editing procedures. I have a number of poems that I have written that are yet to be reviewed by you or whoever for inclusion in my index on your site. Are you playing catch up to accomplish this? Also, one feature at poetry.com I did like was the ability to send poetry cards and you deleted that feature. Any chance you can reinstate that. Also, when I try to copy poems, only about half of the poem will print. Whats the problem.

Posted by Robert L. Hinshaw on 7 May 2009 @ 12pm

A follow up to my previous message. On the index of poems there is another Robert Hinshaw. Note that my poems are listed with my middle initial “L”. Your submission format does not provide for a middle initial as previous by poetry.com. Therefore, I had to alter my first name to “Bob” to ensure my poetry didn’t get listed under the other Robert Hinshaw. Can you revise your submission format to include middle initials. Thanks

Collela,
I am very sorry to hear about your mother, but it is wonderful that you can remember her through the gift of poetry.

Our system is not set up to easily reassign poems to another user, but that is something that we are working on and should be able to do in the future. Please contact our support team later in the summer, and we will try to help.

Thank you,
Annie

Lu,
I’m sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with the previous owners of poetry.com, and I hope that you will enjoy Lulu Poetry more.

At this time, we do not plan to bring back the haiku or daily word contests. Instead, we want to focus on making the main contest a huge success. I have made a note of your request, though, in case it is something we might consider in later stages of development.

Thank you,
Annie

To My Fellow Poets and to Lulu,
I just found out about poetry.com being sold. I see that all of the comments from people who posted their poetry here are very negative! Some want their poetry taken off of the site, and still others say that their poetry has disappeared. I also read that most of you felt as if you were scammed. The definition of scam is this: a fraudulent business scheme. I have been putting my poems on this site for many years. Some are good, and some are not. I just checked and they are all still here. Over the years, I purchased six “books of poetry”, with my poems in them. I got exactly what I paid for; a little expensive yet I have them to give to my children, and they are sitting proudly in my living room for anyone to read. Now, did any one of you, who feel as if you were degraded in some way, attend one of the International Society of Poets conventions? Apparently not. I did, in Las Vegas a couple of years ago. I had the most wonderful time, even if I didn’t win $25,0000! There were two thousand poets, like you and me, from all over the world in one place, at the same time! It was awesome. I met some really good people, and I’m still in touch with some of them. There were classes on how to write and publish poetry all day long for four days. We all got up in front of our peers and read our poems. Scary! At the convention, there were many vendors who publish poetry, stories, and books, etc. Of course they wouldn’t publish your writings for free, but the chance to be published was there. It was no scam, I was there and will never forget the experience. I’m so sorry to hear that none of you had a positive experience with poetry.com. I guess it all depends on how one looks at it. Did you expect to become famous and rich, if your poetry was on the Internet? I did! I thought I was damned good! LOL When I was at the convention, however, I heard poets reciting their poetry, that just blew me away. Also, to my surprise, a couple from Georgia came up to me and asked if they could have a copy of a poem I had recited! I couldn’t believe it, because I was a nervous wreck when I read it and thought it was horrible. They loved it. I felt great. I wouldn’t trade that day for anything. I’m still not rich and famous, but I still put my poems on this site and figure that someone out there will read it and relate to what I am saying. After all, if someone can totally relate to what you have written, you are a successful writer. If you want to make money at it; you have to take some chances and put money out. Believe me, I now know what a true scam is and how it feels to be swindled and taken for a fool. I invested $12,000 in a company that was supposed to promote an invention of mine. I lost it all.
Anyway, never give up on your dreams or aspirations. Keep writing and look into a publishing company and other options. If it seems to good to be true…it probably is. Bye the way, I have a friend who writes romance novels. After many let downs and assumed failures, she picked up a contract with Harlequin Books. She’s on her way! Maybe I will some day, maybe you will some day. Just keep writing, if it is your passion. May God bless all of you, my fellow writers and poets!!
Sorry this comment was so long. I love to write!

If you are a creditor or customer and owed money and looking for the former owner of poetry.com here is his name, address and phone number (which he probably changed):

The former owner of poetry.com, Watermark Media Group, picture.com, poets.com (who recently sold the company and/or assets):

Hi Annie: I know you are busy, but I sure would like an answer to the questions I posed to you on 7 May – They are of concern to me. Thanks

Posted by Robert L. Hinshaw on 9 May 2009 @ 11am

I have been trying to edit my poem “I Remember You” since November, 2008. In January,2009 I realized that there were major problems going on at Poetry.Com….I have sent several e-mails to lulu.com and the response I received from lulu.com had absolutely nothing to do with resolving my issues. I realize that technology is advanced and reaches far, but I have concerns when a company cannot respond efficiently to simple questions and even more when you cannot be reached via telephone line…At one time you could reach Poetry.Com via phone …that must have been before they went bad….? I would like very much to have my poetry displayed as it was written and edited….and again I say, I would like to edit my latest poem…I Remember You. It is important to me, since the world has the ability to view whatever is written, I would like for my work to represents the best of me, I’m sure you understand.
I know that it takes a little time to absorb another business and to bring it up to a higher standard (as you say)…but come on three to four months to fix how to edit your poetry and still no resolve is questionable.
It is really simple, I need you to express my amatuer poetry and you need me and people like me to help your business be a success. Please contact me….My e-mail is in your files SOMEWHERE… Thanks.

Hi Hareshlalwani,
You can enter the contest by submitting a poem through the form on the home page of Lulu Poetry. Be sure to check the box that says you have read and agree to the site Terms of Use.

Hi Robert,
My apologies for not getting to your questions sooner.
1. If you are interested in copyright or editing services, Lulu.com does offer publishing packages that can help you. Please check out Lulu’s Services Marketplace at http://www.lulu.com/services to see what options are available.

2. There is a short 24-hour delay after you upload a poem before it is available for ratings, just so it can go through a basic profanity and plagiarism check. However, your poems should be immediately available to view on the site and there should never be a delay of several weeks. I have not been able to find any error that would cause this problem for you, and I’m sorry for the inconvenience. When did you upload the poems? If it was before April 14th, there may have been an issue with the old site and I encourage you to upload the poems again. If it was after April 14th, please contact help@poetry.com so our support team (who are much smarter about this sort of thing than I am) can look into it for you.

3. We do not currently have plans to bring back poetry cards. However, I’ve made a note of your request.

4. I was able to copy one of your poems from the site by selecting the text with my mouse and paste it into a word document, and I was able to print the web page with your poem on it. I’m not sure why you are running into trouble with this, but please give it another try.

5. You can include your middle initial in your name just by adding a space and the initial to the first name field of the submission form. As we develop the site, there will be much better registration and account management tools, and you will have an easier time updating your information on the site.

Thank you,
Annie

Hi Vivian,
I am sorry to hear that you have had so much trouble editing your poem. I also completely understand that your work is important and that you want it to be displayed properly. Lulu Poetry and Lulu.com do not provide support by phone, but you can reach us at help@poetry.com.

Have you registered with the site at http://www.poetry.com/premium/login.asp in order to edit your poem online?

In order to edit your poem online, you must have your correct password to log onto our site. Once you are logged in, you must enter your ZIP code to edit your poem. We must have the correct address and zip code for you on file for this to work.

The editing process should get easier as we develop the site and improve your account information. New developments are coming soon!

Thank you,
Annie

I understand you have purchased Poetry.com. I have about 60 poems posted there. What happens to them now? I quit posting there once i found out how crooked they were, after spending a lot of money to attend one of their conventions where I was told i would read one of my poems, this did not happen. In fact It wasn’t even mentioned. I hope you treat the poets better than they did. I would like an email to my question about my poems. Thank you

Posted by Beulah Marie Starr on 15 May 2009 @ 7pm

Dear Lulu,

You’ve done every poet a great service by purchasing and cleaning up the notorious poetry.com. I’m sorry you are being attacked for the practices of the former owner.

I’ve been a published poet for years and belonged to 4 different [state] League of Writers and [state] Poetry Society groups. Periodically, each has put out the word about the kind of scam the former owners ran. I watched a 91 year old woman pour her life savings into the pockets of the National Library of Poetry. She had to move in with her children and still she got mail from those vultures wanting her to buy herself a 5 ft. tall trophy for $600 which they would present to her at a conference in Las Vegas where she had to pay all her own expenses and a fee of considerable money to attend.

Nobody was ever in a poetry book unless they paid $47 and up in advance. And if they paid, they were in the book with no evaluation. When it is done that way, publication in their book meant nothing and all poetry was seriously devalued. I’m so glad they are out of business and not preying on hopeful poets any more.

Good luck making poetry.com a beautiful place for poets, but we will all be watching to see that it goes that way.

Posted by Sandy Fackler on 15 May 2009 @ 7pm

I too posted poems to poetry.com and also was active on their workshop. When a fellow poet (a published Professor no less) was abused by another writer (I use the word loosely) the workshop did nothing and the Professor left the site despite mine and many other protests. I hope you will make sure cyber abuse is not allowed. I am glad to see Lulu taking over the http://www.url but such is the distain I feel for poetry.com I hope you will change that name as it has such a bad name in the wider world. Also – please remove this poem – “The wrongs of life” – not written by me, but by the Site under my name (which I think is some sort of fraud)because I posted a poem about poetry.com and the aforementioned abuse which they didn’t like; they removed all of my poems and left their one! Now that I know they are gone I am happy to post again. CJ

Hello I was a member of poetry.com I started to think something was funny about the site after I had submitted a few poems. I had two of them published in two different books. But never received any information about the contest I entered after I brought the books.I also kept receiving mail inviting me to a convention out of state which was a lot of money. I had not been back on the site until today, after reading somethings about it. I am very upset and hurt! I feel I was taken advantage of as a young writer expressing my feelings! If this is a new site not just a new name,I did not give Lulu permission to publish any of my poems. So why are they still on your site, the same as when it was “not Lulu” that owned poetry.com? I would like all of my poems removed at once. It as at least four poems on the site, under the name Candice Leshantay Nichols. Thank you

Posted by Candice Nichols on 24 May 2009 @ 2am

I feel That it is only right that Lulu let the poets know that the site was taken over and get their permission before posting their poems on your site since it is a new company a you say.Even though the poems were posted on poetry.com before you took it over,if you are not the same company then it is not fair for you to use our poetry on your site with out our permission!
Thank you, Candice

Posted by Candice Nichols on 24 May 2009 @ 2am

Poetry.com does not exist anymore, I am totally disappointed, I love poetry, and I think that a very important and very tasteful site about poetry is replaced by the site ‘lulu’, with an awful name. I have still a letter from poetry.com about one of my poems, I shall save it carefully. The good times are over, I conclude.

Posted by Foerts Joseph on 24 May 2009 @ 7am

I would like my poems immediately withdrawn from your site.

I have sent repeated requests for removal of my poems which were published without permission.

Posted by Anonymous on 24 May 2009 @ 10pm

I would like my poems removed effective immediately entitled: “Heavens Cruelty” and “Lament for an Often” (your sic) At no point did I register with Lulu.com and at no time was permission granted to publish this peom on this site.

I have sent numerous requests as per your given instructions with no satisfactory response.

I understand that it is a mammoth undertaking to assume ownership of a site, but prior to mass publication of old material without permission from the authors is irresponsible.

Respectively remove my name and poem from your site immediately.

When Lulu purchased the domain for http://www.poetry.com we continued to post the poems that had been submitted to poetry.com, in order to provide a good experience for poets. We did not want to disrupt your service or remove poems that you are proud of. However, we understand that circumstances change. I am a poet from Poetry.com and I have published poems there, since 2005. If Poetry.com was a scam, I wouldn’t have received the awards I won from them and I wouldn’t have received the books, I baught with my poems on them. They gave us an opportunity to post poems for free and I was even invited twice by the ISP Convention in Las Vegas. Sometime, it depends on how we see it. I don’t think it was a scam.

Hi Dean,
There are currently a number of countries not included on that drop down for a variety of reasons, most of them technical. However, we plan on expanding the list of countries, as we develop the site, to include poets from all over the world.

A number of poets have requested that we add India, and it is on the list. Please check back with us later in the summer.

Thank you,
Annie

Annie,

I thankyou for keeping me on, my country is not listed on the drop down box so I used my company’s instead. The truth of the matter is for all those ‘disgruntled poets’, if you truely are a poet, where you come from and what you are should not matter, it’s why you are, if you write poems to close behind your own little doors of broken hopes, disappointments and never share…then consider it your diary…a little keepsake, to gloat and pride yourself like make-up, some little personnel note to remind yourself – WHY YOU ARE NOT! But if you write because you wish to share, wish to reach out to people, wish to communicate…then do so, as poets you should already know that NOTHING is impossible whether it be bad or good…be safe and write here among all your ‘fellow poets’ otherwise – GET out there and ask your Local or National Newspaper to get it printed in the Newspaper and remember to ask them to also ‘print your NAME’, so that everybody knows that you ‘wrote it’. GET REAL!

Thanks and a pleasant day to you.

Hi Shianne,
Congratulations on your poems. Lulu Poetry is not affiliated in anyway with the former owners of http://www.poetry.com, Watermark Media, who also operated as the International Library of Poetry and International Society of Poets. I believe the ISP has gone out of business.

Thank you,

Hi Jacquelyn,
I’m sorry that you had a bad experience with the previous owners. As I mentioned to Shianne, Lulu.com and Lulu Poetry are not affiliated in any way with the previous owners of http://www.poetry.com, Watermark Media.

Lulu Poetry is not selling your poems and you do still own the copyright to all of your work.

I agree about the awards, they seem to be given out and poetry does get published… I can say that there is a real person (though not under standing) that reads my poetry and also has sent me an e-mail or two (mass mailing ?;there was one of my poems where a person I knew, had an abortion which affected me very deeply, the baby was my grandchild and I was pissed off. I wrote in a very subjective manner about that and how much pain it put me through as a grand parent…she choose to think gutter and told me so…responded to her by mail I have the right to write how I feel about anything and I have usedthe guide lines of Poetry.Com to a “T”..emotion = poetry

I’ve posted three poems two on poetry.com and one on LuLu poetry.com. Maybe it’s a scam maybe not. If any of you would like to read my poems they are at LuLu poetry.com. Just type in my name David Nathaniel Ryback.
Let me know what you think of them.

I tried contacting support via the e-mail you provided but no one got back to me… I really just need to change my old e-mail (which is obsolete) to the one I have now.
I don’t know if Lulu poetry contacts it’s users via e-mail or USPS but if anyone attempts to contact me through the old e-mail, they won’t reach me.
I don’t know if you have the ability to change my info yourself, or if you could just tell your tech department to get back to me, that’d be great.

Thanks Annie… sorry for the bother.

I’m 10 years old and submitted a poem to this place and was told I was a semifinalist in there contest and that my poem was going to be published in a poetry book called Immortal Verses. I was so excited. This happened within the last 9 months. To date no book with my poem in it. Now I find out that the place that was supposed to publish it has went out of business and my poem is now showing up on another site called LULU.com without my permission. Did anyone ever get a poetry book called Immortal Verses with a poem called Shoe in it. Its about a dog taking a little girls shoe. If this was ever printed and published in the book would like to get a copy of it.
On to a more hopeful topic. Is there anyplace for young people to get there work published without being ripped off like I was last time.

Good Afternoon LULU Poetry,
I used to contribute up to about 3 years ago when I thought something was odd about the way I was being invited to read my poetry as an alleged prize winner at a convention in New York.

I declined and lost interest after that, not in amateur poetry but wth the organisation I was communicating with.

Please let me know if there were two John Sneddons who communicated with Poetry.com as I may have contributed as John L Sneddon.

Ihave also changed my e-mail address from [contact information removed by moderator]

Dear Annie:

I’m looking forward to LULU.COM having a legitimate, honest and helpful site for poets. My poems “Growing Rains” and “Banner of Glory” are still there and I just found out today that the previous poetry company went out of business, therefore I wish to have my poems remain on LULU.COM.

There are so many individuals hurt and feel betrayed by National Library of Poetry…I’m one of these people. A fresh start on LULU can inspire these poets to feel the passion of writing once again.

Could you please just place a message letting poets, writers, fans, etc., myself included what has become of our poetry and where it will be placed and how to access it. I can imagine your plate is full and not enough time to at least know where to begin. Perhaps, my suggestion could help.
I can’t find my written word and I can wait, but I wonder if everyone can. Thank you.

Hi Bruce,
I’m sorry that you are having trouble searching for your work. With over 14 million poems on Lulu Poetry, our search obviously gives you wide range of results. We do want readers to be able to find lots of poems on Lulu Poetry, but of course we want it to be simple to find specific poems too. This is just the first step in our new search, and we will be refining and improving it over the coming weeks.

I was able to find poems listed under Bruce Daniel Knowlton, but I am not sure if they are yours without more information. If you had poems listed under multiple names or accounts and are having trouble finding your poems, please email a list of those names to help@poetry.com and our support team can assist you.

Did Poetry.com go out out of business; if sowhere do I contact the people who ran it OR did they file for bankruptcy?

There was a SHOWCASE JOURNAL that was slated for 2009, to which I submitted a fine poem as well as $199+ shipping for copies of the book. Did “LULU” consider taking this over and looking through the submissions to see if they were worthy of publication and go from there? Many fine poems, I”m sure; some of which deserve publicaiton.

David R. Huff a.k.a. brasscat

For many years I was a regular contributor to the old site. During the last convention I attended(2007), there were many people, who like me, discussed the obvious decline of the ISP. In 2003 I wrote to the President of ISP and urged them to change practices which would eventually cause a loss of confidence. I was ignored.
Right now I find it hard to trust anyone with my works.
