I want to know whether your site allows entries from India, as I couldn’t find name of my country in your list.

Posted by Chirag on 2 May 2009 @ 1am

I like mr fix it :)

Posted by Orlando Soto Jr. on 3 May 2009 @ 3am

Hi Chirag,
Funny you should ask, because another user just mentioned this on an earlier blog post. :) Here’s what I told him:

There are currently a number of countries not included on the submission drop down for a variety of reasons, most of them technical.

However, we plan on expanding the list of countries, as we develop the site, to include poets from all over the world. I’ve made a note of your request to add India, and will see what we can do. Please check back with us later this summer.

Thank you,
Annie

Dear annie,

there’s no point claiming the inclusion of India as funny… If this is a contest of the beautiful minds should have to be a fare contest…

So please ensure not only to include India but all those countries on the map of our conscience

I have been trying to access my poetry on site, but message says it is being reviewed and to try back. It has been a couple of weeks, and still no access? Am I doing something wrong? I can’t make any changes. Deborah

One of my poems is on your site, by the wrong name. My name is Deborah Jean Cromer. The name of the poem is “Calling”. I find it by pulling up Deborah Cramer. Can this be corrected? Thank You! Deborah J. Cromer

Can’t seem to track my submission. Were there any comments? The system seems to never have heard it.

Marian’s 1st nature poem book: The Meandering Stream with Several Themes* TXu001360381 (c) 05-2007*

But the two poems I submitted on 12/25/2008 and 1/9/2009 have not shown up yet on lulu. I will submit a comment if they do. Those two poems, like “Dog Diets Compared” are NOT in my first copyrighted poetry book (see above). I’m glad you have a dog food ad with my poem, “Dog Diets Compared.”

http://userweb.springnet1.com/swamelam/homepage.htm is another website also look for literature on both, please.

I have not entered the daily contest, just lulu monthly.
I have a question about conjunctions like can’t won’t are the William Wordsworth earlier writings really someone else who used conjunctions like a crutch?

I could not log on http://www.lulu.poetry.com today, just http://www.poetry.com today. I will check for those two poems again and let you know–that was shortly before poetry.com became lulu.poetry.com!

Sincerely,

Marian Sue Elam

Linda,
I did not mean that it is funny or comical that India is not included in the list, and I apologize if my quick comment was interpreted that way. I only meant that it was interesting that we received two comments about India on the blog in the same day.

We will be expanding the list of countries that are able to contribute to Lulu Poetry as we develop the site.

Thank you,
Annie

Hi Brian,
All the contest winners since we launched the Lulu Poetry contest have been listed in this blog. I’m afraid that I do not know about the winners from the previous owner’s contest.

You can contact our support team at help@poetry.com. Very soon we should launch new features that allow you to register and update your contact information on the site, without contacting support.

Thank you,
Annie

Hi Deborah C.
I am sorry that you are having trouble accessing your poems. That is very strange. There is a delay between when you upload your poem and when it is available to be rated or edited. However, a few weeks is quite long. I will ask our team to look into it, but please try again soon.

For your other question, our system is not set up to easily change your user information, but that is something that we are working on and should be able to do in the future. Please contact our support team later in the summer, and we will try to help.

Thank you,
Annie

Ive tried to edit my poems for a month it still want let me edit

Posted by judith saunders on 12 May 2009 @ 10am

Hi Judith,
I’m sorry that you are having trouble editing your poem online. Have you registered with the site at http://www.poetry.com/premium/login.asp in order to edit your poem?

In order to edit your poem online, you must have your correct password to log onto our site. Once you are logged in, you must enter your ZIP code to edit your poem. We must have the correct address and zip code for you on file for this to work.

The editing process should get easier as we develop the site and improve your account information. New developments are coming soon!

Thank you,
Annie

I submitted my first poem to Lulupoetry.com a few days ago, but have since discovered that there are several other persons also registered on this site with the same name as mine.
How can I add my middle name to provide specificity to my identification?

Posted by Sylvia Richardson on 23 May 2009 @ 11am

Hi Sylvia,
When you fill out the poem submission form, you can add your middle name in the “first name” field. Just put in your first name a space and your middle name.

We are working very hard to build a better registration system for the site. Soon you will be able to create an account and it will be easier to edit how your name appears.

Thank you,
Annie
