My poem, Earth Love, was published on the first page of “Collected Whispers” from poetry.com. I was told that I was an international semi-finalist, and I am kind of wondering what is going on since I am on the first page! Can someone help me? I have no idea who to contact or why no one else has contacted me. Thanks.

It would be nice if you included the email addresses of the poets on the pages so that they could be contacted!!

the highest voted !! Now the same people I beat are now

stupid . And I have save everything to prove it !!

Boy what some people will do to take your money and then say they sold the business. But I was smart not to buy nothing !! So please do-not fall in there trap and loose your money!! Hang It

Hi Marilyn,
Congratulations on being published. Unfortunately, I do not have the answer to your questions.

Lulu Poetry and Lulu.com are not affiliated in any way with the former owners of http://www.poetry.com, Watermark Media, or their contest and publishing endeavors. Lulu just bought the domain for poetry.com, but not the business behind it. Lulu launched a new poetry contest on April 14, 2009. Any questions about the contest prior to April 14th are the responsibility of the previous owners.

Thank you,
Annie

Hi Shawna,
I’m glad to hear that you are enjoying the poems and want to get in touch with the other poets. Unfortunately, we cannot provide email addresses as that would be a violation of Lulu’s Privacy Policy.

We are working on some great new tools, such as forums and messaging, that will allow you to contact poets through the site (if they agree to participate). Those features are not ready yet, but we hope to have them available before too long.

Thank you,
Annie

Hi Hang It,
I’m sorry that your poem was not selected as a winner this month. As we state in the contest rules, “winners are selected by a panel of judges from among the top 10% of poems with the highest daily, monthly and yearly ratings by the community.” So rating is important, but it is not the only factor. You can read the full contest rules here: http://www.poetry.com/contest/rules.asp

I hope that you will enter the contest again sometime, and give it another try.

Thank you,
Annie

it would be nice to be able to search for a poet by name and pull out all their poems…also, it would be nice to have an area where readers can leave their comments and their critiques of the poem

Posted by searching on 10 June 2009 @ 11am

Hi Searching,
You can search for poets by entering their first and last name in the search box on Lulu Poetry’s home page. This will give you a list of all the poems by that poet.

Leaving comments and reviews of the poems is a great idea. That is a feature we plan to offer in the future, but I’m not sure when it will be released.

Thank you,
Annie

hi,
i just want to know why aren’t East Indians permitted to contest

Posted by ayana on 26 June 2009 @ 10am

Hi Ayana,
There are currently a number of countries not included on that drop down for a variety of reasons, most of them technical.

However, we plan on expanding the list of countries, as we develop the site, to include poets from all over the world. A number of poets have requested that we add India, and will see what we can do. Please check back with us later this summer.
Thank you,
Annie
