Sorry to re-post this but I note this poem is still sitting under my name despite my request to have it removed and going through the correct process – In view of the lack of action please remove this and other poems of mine as I am starting to get annoyed.
…………….
I too posted poems to poetry.com and also was active on their workshop. When a fellow poet (a published Professor no less) was abused by another writer (I use the word loosely) the workshop did nothing and the Professor left the site despite mine and many other protests. I hope you will make sure cyber abuse is not allowed. I am glad to see Lulu taking over the http://www.url but such is the distain I feel for poetry.com I hope you will change that name as it has such a bad name in the wider world. Also – please remove this poem – “The wrongs of life” – not written by me, but by the Site under my name (which I think is some sort of fraud)because I posted a poem about poetry.com and the aforementioned abuse which they didn’t like; they removed all of my poems and left their one! Now that I know they are gone I am happy to post again. CJ

To the contest personal most of these I realy enjoy rea-
ding, but I feel personily that I’ve been writting for
such a long time, and has never gotten no response from
the judge’s that oversee’s these contest. I’ve also re-
cieve highly admirable remarks of my poetry, and will like to know what’s the criterria of what the judge’s are
looking for in any form of “Poetry”.

Can anyone help me retrieve a poem from here? I submitted a poem some years back, sometime around 2003-2005. The poem is titled Sunset at Trivandrum. I have no idea it was published or not – but I did submit it. And now, I have lost the copy when my pc got stolen. It is really important to me. And I can’t find a way to anyone managing this site!

Congratulations to the winners!

i have question. how can i get other poets to see and read my poetry, its submitted and everything. Its just, how can they come across my poems? my name isn’t a name that you would just type in the search poet box because who knows me? haha but i would like to present my poetry a little more easier.

any feed back would be grand! Thanks

Claire,
I am sorry that you have had trouble getting your poems removed. I will see if I can escalate your request with our support team.

John,
There are a number of criteria that the judges use to select the winner, in addition to a high rating, including creativity, proper spelling and grammar, characterization, and artistic quality. The poem absolutely must be an original work. I’m sure there are other qualities that the judges consider too, but it is hard to pin down in words what makes a great poem.

I wish you the best of luck in Lulu Poetry’s future contests!
Thank you,
Annie

Hi Thukten,
I searched for your poem, but was not able to find it in our database. It does not appear to be included in Lulu Poetry. I’m sorry that we can’t help you find a copy of your poem.

Hi Patrick,
Great question! To the left of your poem there is a link to “Tell a friend about this page”. That way you can email poems to your friends and invite them to visit Lulu Poetry and rate your poem.

We are also working to improve the search function on the site. Right now, you can only search by name, as you pointed out. Soon, readers will be able to search by topic and keywords, which makes it easier for them to find your poems! The improved search should be ready soon.

Thank you,
Annie

I would Like to Know what Happened to my 6 Poems they were on the legacy Poetry.com website.

Are they still there…your search engine Database is very Generalistic…there are no accurate Filters.

Just Wondering.

Thanks,
Daniel E. Scott

Hi Daniel,
Your poems should all still be available on Lulu Poetry, and found here.

I’m sorry that you are having trouble searching for your work. With over 14 million poems on Lulu Poetry, our search obviously gives you wide range of results. We do want readers to be able to find lots of poems on Lulu Poetry, but of course we want it to be simple to find specific poems too. This is just the first step in our new search, and we will be refining and improving it over the coming weeks.
Thank you,
Annie
