At what point will it be possible to edit our submitted poems? The message says the editing will be enabled again at the end of July. Could someone please give an update to the editing ability?

thanks

Hi Douglas,
The site update, including editing of poems, has been delayed until a little later in August. You can read more about it in this blog post. I’m sorry for the inconvenience, but we should have great new features in place for you soon.

Thank you,
Annie

Dear Annie,

Neither your comments nor the “blog post” you referred to mention feedback to poets. Several poets have already commented in these blogs that they want to receive feedback. Readers also have expressed a need to communicate with poets.

Will mechanisms for feedback to and communication with poets be included among the “great new features” in the upcoming update to poetry.com? If not, how will readers be able to send messages to poets?

Hi Robert,
Yes, a number of poets have requested ways to provide feedback and communicate with other members of the site, and we have been listening. The new features released in August will not include mechanisms for feedback, aside from improving the rating system. However, we plan to build a way to leave reviews and a messaging system, which will be available in future site updates.

Thank you,
Annie

Dear Annie,

Thank you for the clarification. How, in the meantime, can we send feedback to the poets (other than the numerical ratings)?

Hi Robert,
Right now there is not a good way to provide feedback to poets, other than giving a rating. That is something that we are working on though, and plan to have more features to help with feedback in the future.
Thank you,
Annie

Every time I submit a poem, It does not go into one grouping, can you make this easer!

Posted by Paul Attaya on 15 August 2009 @ 6pm

Hi Paul,
The poem submission form is currently a little fickle. You must enter your address an email information exactly the same every time, or it considers you a new user and will put your poems under a new account. When our site is updated later in August, the registration and poem submission processes will be much improved. You should not have this problem anymore, because login will be based on email and password. After the site update, you will also be able to contact our support team at help@poetry.com and they can help combine all your existing poems into the same account.

Thank you,
Annie
