Hi, I was a member of the old poetry.com and I have to say that I am finding this one entirely difficult to manage. I cannot find my own poems without a million others being brought up as well and that never happened with the original site. Another problem is that most of my poems are under my maiden name and an old email address which I do not remember. Any help would be greatful since I need to access my poems for school assignments.
Thanks

Hi Tiffany,
I’m sorry that you are having trouble searching for your work. With over 14 million poems on Lulu Poetry, our search obviously gives you wide range of results. We do want readers to be able to find lots of poems on Lulu Poetry, but of course we want it to be simple to find specific poems too. This is just the first step in our new search, and we will be refining and improving it over the coming weeks.

For help with your account and changing email addresses, please contact our support team by emailing help@poetry.com.
Thank you,
Annie

How do you get ratings I’m new to lulu and I posted one poem but how do I get people to read it like is there a way to spread it bcuz I tried to get in da contest and it’s the only poem on my profile

Posted by Jerrod on 15 September 2009 @ 6pm

maybe this is a stupid question. but how do you even get noticed on this website. I could type in the exact title of my poems in the search box, and my poem woulduntil the 400th in line out of ten thousand. tips anyone?

When do you anticipate that the problem with the “anonymous” authors will be fixed? Clicking on a title by such an author or on the name “anonymous” still leads to a system error message.

At least in those cases I have tried, your system selects the right poems for such an author, but does not display the author’s name, only “anonymous”.

I had over 60 poems with poetry.com but I only see about 15 of them on Lu Lu.Where are the others and why is there no place to search for my poems and for people to rate them? I keep getting calls and emails from friends telling me they can not get to my poems.I have written to the help system but got no help at all. What is the reason people cannot get to their poems? It sure is putting a bad taste in so many peoples mouths that I talk to.

I have written several poems and posted them to http://www.poetry.com. I have not had the internet for a few months, but now I have it back. Going to http://www.poetry.com, I am shocked that I no longer exist anywhere in your database of poems. Can you please help and tell me where my songs and poems are? Thanks so much.

Hi Robert,
We are working on the problem with anonymous authors and expect to have the system error fixed early next week.
Thank you,
Annie

Hi Jerrod and RJ,
The best way to get your poem noticed is to share it with your friends. You can email your friends and invite them to register on the site and rate your poem and others. Right now, we offer a share button by each poem to help you with email. We plan to expand that feature in the next few months so that you can also share poems on Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks.

Thank you,
Annie

Gudbjorg,
I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble entering the contest, but I have not been able to reproduce the error you are experiencing. Can you please tell me what browser you are using?
Thank you,
Annie

Arthur and Marchia,
All of your poems should still be available on Lulu Poetry for reading and rating. Arthur, I found 64 poems under your name. Marchia, I found 6 poems under your name/.

Arthur, you are likely only seeing 15 of your poems on your profile page because there is a bug that does not properly list all the poems in your account. We are working on the problem and hope to have the bug fixed by early next week.

I’m sorry that you are having trouble searching for your work. This is the first version of Lulu Poetry’s new search, and we will be refining and improving it over the coming weeks.
Thank you,
Annie

Hi Annie, thanks for getting back to me and I hope things do get better soon. Is it possible for you to put something on your home page to let the people know you are working on the problems? The way it is now its a guessing game.Sincerel’y Art Trezza

thank you Annie. Expanding the poetry sharing tool to Facebook would be a fabulous idea. Facebook is where I usually publish my poems before I publish them on this website!

Hi I’m Emil Rivers, writing under the pseudonym: Davineo Volente. How do I direct friends to find my page on your site? What path do I direct them to enter as url that would lead them to my page where they can view my poetry and rate them that way as well:) tx Davineo

Posted by Emil Rivers on 23 September 2009 @ 4pm

Hi Emil,
The best way to direct your friends to your page at Lulu Poetry is to send them a link to your profile. After you log in, click the blue “Account” link at the top right of the page. Then copy and paste the url from your profile page into an email and send it to your friends.

You can also send specific poems to your friends, by clicking the orange “Share” button on a poem’s page. From there, you can enter your friend’s email address and a link to the poem will be sent to them.

Thank you,
Annie

Greetings,

I have written and posted over 50 poems on the old poetry.com website which has been a source of inspiration to me and those connected and maybe others.

I have relocated from the UK to India and have tried to recover my poems to Lulu alas fate be-failed me.

I have seen a mere few of my poems with my initializing the transfer claim which makes the despair overwhelm me.

I hope a solution can come forth soon.

Dear Annie.
Happy to hear from you. Well, the problem persists even though I try to follow all the guidelines needed in order to post a poem, there is always an error. Not sure about what browser I’m using. Hope to hear from you soon.
Best regards,

Gudbjorg

Annie, just wanted to take the time out to thank you for your researching and responding back to all the comments.

Still, I am unable to get in using my username and password, and the system is not enabling my creating a new one and enabling my viewing the 16 poems I have placed upon poetry.com (LuLu). Is there any way to recover these? Or need I resumit? Actually, I tried to transfer over those which I’d copied when placed onto your site, but the system is not allowing me to do that…

Kinda hope all clears up.

Thanks.
